COVID-19 has shone a spotlight on the sacrifices our nurses make each day.
Being faced with constant stress and the ever-present risk of infection from COVID-19, nurses are continuing to put themselves on the line every day to defend a grateful nation.
Despite that stress, these devoted people go above and beyond the call of duty to keep our community safe.
This week was International Nurses Day, a day where the world can pause and give thanks to those battling on the healthcare frontline.
To celebrate all they do and everyone they support, the Herald Sun and Crown Resorts are searching for 250 nurses and a friend each to enjoy an overnight staycation at Crown Metropol Melbourne on July 25, complete with breakfast and dinner plus a Crown Spa pampering experience.

Terms and Conditions – Nominate a frontline nurse to win a grand staycation

2.Information on how to enter and prizes forms part of the terms of entry. Entry into the Promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions. Who can enter?
3.Entry is open to all residents of Victoria over the age of 18.
4.The nominee must be working as a nurse in Victoria.
5.Directors, contractors and employees (and immediate families) of the Promoter and of companies, suppliers and agencies associated with the Promotion, including the Crown Group of Companies, Crown Resorts, Crown Melbourne and Crown Perth are not eligible to enter the Promotion. This Competition is not open to persons or other persons (including proxies) excluded from the casino pursuant to the provisions of the Casino Control Act 1991 (Vic) or who are otherwise prohibited from entering the Crown Entertainment Complex for any reason, including persons who become prohibited before or after a Draw (up to the time of receipt or collection of a prize by a prize winner).
6.The Promoter reserves the right at its sole discretion to request winners to provide proof of identity and proof of nursing registration if required in order to claim a prize. If a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
When to enter
7.Promotion opens on 16/5/20 at 12.01am AEST and closes on 31/5/20 at 11.59pm AEST (Promotion Period). Entries must be received by the Promoter in the Promotion Period.
8.All entries are deemed received at the time of receipt by the Promoter not at the time of transmission by the entrant.
9.Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost misdirected, delayed, ineligible, incomplete or corrupted entries or delays in the delivery of entries due to technical disruptions, network congestion or for any other reason. SMS entries via the internet or computer generation and not attributable to a valid mobile phone account are invalid and will not be accepted.

11.Entrants can enter by logging onto www.heraldsun.com.au/promotions, registering their details and submitting a nomination of a registered nurse to complete their entry. The nomination should be a personal story of why the chosen registered nurse is deserving of the prize. The nomination can be submitted as 100 words or less entry or by 1 minute video upload. The cost of accessing the promotional website will be dependent on the entrant’s individual Internet Service Provider. The nominations of the prize will win.
